Kyle Glenn Hughes II has been around quarter horses all of his life. He grew up on the family’s horse farm in Meadowview, Virginia.

He has always had a love for being around horses 24 hours a day 7 days a week. Kyle started showing when he was five years old and still has the passion, drive and love to show these beautiful animals as he did when he first started. After winning two AQHYA Reserve World Championships as a youth he knew this was something he wanted to do for a living.

While still in High School he started training and showing a few horses. Upon graduating he started training full time in Meadowview, Virginia. At Hughes Quarter Horses, Kyle concentrates on halter horses and shows local, state, and national levels. Kyle trains and conditions his father’s stallion, Touchdowns MR, who has been in the top ten in the Amateur with Kyle’s dad and Open Divisions at the AQHA World Championship Shows in both 2002 and 2003.

Kyle exhibited Touchdowns MR at the All American Quarter Horse Congress in 2002 and was Champion in the Limited Class. He was also Reserve Champion in 2003 Limited Class at the All American Quarter Horse Congress. Kyle also showed a gelding in 2002 that was Reserve Champion in the Limited Division. His customer’s horses have received several top ten honors. Kyle enjoys working with his youth and amateur customers and seeing them do well.

In 2002 Kyle led one of his youth to win the Halter Rookie of the year in Virginia. He has also helped his nephew, who showed at the AQHYA Championship Show for the first time in 2003, to be in the top fifteen with 3 different horses. Kyle is hoping to take his youth customers to the Youth World this year and in the process he wants them to enjoy being there and making new friends along with being competitive.

Kyle has never seen a stranger and he enjoys making new friends and spending time with his customers and their families, so if you see him don’t forget to say hello.

Kyle would like to wish all of his customer’s good luck for the 2005 show season. If he can help you, all you need to do is ask.
